BHP Chosen to produce, direct, and film a new short
Kerry Candaele and Battle Hymns Productions has been chosen to produce, direct, and film a short for the Festival of Sacred Music http://www.festivalofsacredmusic.org/, “1,000 artists, 41 events, 16 days.” Of the over one hundred filmakers from around the country, ten were chosen by the UCLA Center for Intercultural Performance and the Foundation for World Arts to capture the concerts that make up the two week festival held every three years.
Battle Hymns filmed the classical Indian group Tarang, led by the tabla virtuoso Abhijit Banerjee, with special guest Kenny Endo, the renowned Japanese taiko drum master . The finished film will be shown in early 2009 on PBS and other networks.
